Test: Maybe Life Is A Painting

My laptops (sort of) working again. There's a problem or two with the hardware so sometimes I have to restart but it's good enough that I've been able to start drawing again.

This picture was both for testing out a different style and for getting used to my drawing tab again. I'm pretty happy with how the hair turned out, but there's definitely something off about the line work, the colourings sloppy and I keep on second guessing the colour choices. Still, I'm pleased with it for a quick test.

The character in the picture is a teenage boy called Phoenix. I mainly use him in my writing, so I thought it was about time he has his own pic. The quote is from a piece of writing from his p.o.v.

Please, if you have any tips, critiques, advice, good tutorials or programs you know of etc. tell me. Also I'd love some feedback on if you like this style, think I should develop it more or should try out a different one.
